This Clerk Typist Receptionist provides administrative and clerical support within a healthcare program. Responsibilities include proofreading dictation, entering clinical histories, compiling statistics, preparing billing statements, and managing patient reports. The role uses PACS, HIS/RIS, and LIS systems while maintaining confidentiality. Candidates need recognized office administration education or equivalent experience and at least one year in an acute healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone, reception, administrative, and clerical support
- Proofread dictation and clinical histories for pathology reports
- Enter physician and clinical history information where required
- Monitor LIS fax logs and distribute patient reports
- Maintain accurate confidential records for reports and images
Requirements:
- Secretarial or office administration certificate, or equivalent
- Minimum one year in an acute healthcare facility
- Medical terminology certificate or completion within three months
- Knowledge of HIS/RIS and LIS systems
- Windows computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
