# Imam (Full-Time)BC Muslim Association – Victoria Masjidfull-timeVictoria, BC, CanadaSenior LevelSeniorShare:## Job DescriptionThe Victoria Masjid, part of the BC Muslim Association, seeks a full-time Imam to serve as the primary religious, spiritual, and pastoral leader for the Muslim community in Victoria, British Columbia.\\*\\*Role Overview:\\*\\*The Imam will lead congregational prayers, provide spiritual guidance, and coordinate Islamic educational and community programs.\\*\\*Key Responsibilities:\\*\\** Lead all five daily prayers (Salat) and Friday Jumu'ah services* Develop and deliver Islamic education programs for youth and children* Organize and facilitate Islamic lectures, study circles (halaqas), and community workshops* Provide pastoral counselling and spiritual guidance to congregation members* Conduct da'wah (Islamic outreach) and interfaith engagement activities* Perform marriage ceremonies (Nikah)* Guide the youth and broader community on matters of Islamic faith and practice\\*\\*Required Qualifications:\\*\\** Bachelor's degree or higher in Islamic Studies from an accredited Islamic institution* Minimum 5 years of experience as an Imam or Islamic educator* Sunni Muslim* Fluent in English and Arabic* Strong grasp of Quranic sciences, Tajweed (proper recitation), Sunnah, and Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh)* Hafiz of the Quran (preferred)* Computer literacy* Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a culturally diverse Muslim community in a Canadian context* Eligible to work in Canada\\*\\*Employment Details:\\*\\** Full-time position, 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling* Based at Victoria Masjid, 2218 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC* Compensation commensurate with experience* Application deadline: 10 November 2026* Contact: Victoria.secretary@thebcma.com or 250-995-1422 #J-18808-Ljbffr
