The BC Muslim Association seeks a senior-level Imam as its primary religious, spiritual, and pastoral leader. The position combines congregational worship, Islamic education, pastoral counselling, community programming, and outreach. English and Arabic fluency support communication across the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all five daily prayers and Friday Jumu'ah services
- Provide pastoral counselling and spiritual guidance
- Develop Islamic education programs for youth and children
- Organize lectures, halaqas, and community workshops
- Conduct da'wah and interfaith engagement activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Islamic Studies
- At least five years as an Imam or Islamic educator
- Sunni Muslim, fluent in English and Arabic
- Strong knowledge of Quranic sciences, Tajweed, Sunnah, and Fiqh
- Eligible to work in Canada and computer literate
