Clean designated zones for BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions, using floor-care equipment and following health and safety procedures. This position is full-time or part-time.
As a Cleaner, you will maintain high cleanliness standards while supporting quality control and client expectations. Duties include floor care, carpet cleaning, washroom cleaning, equipment handling, and waste transport. The work requires cleaning experience, equipment knowledge, and attention to safety. You may work across multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, scrub, vacuum, mop, strip, seal, and polish floors
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets when required
- Clean washrooms, stairwells, elevator cabs, and glass areas
- Transport garbage, machinery, supplies, and cleaning solutions
- Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
Requirements:
- Experience performing institutional cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities
- Experience using floor maintenance machines, equipment, materials, and solutions
- Knowledge of applicable Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS provisions
- Ability to lift, push, pull heavy items, and climb ladders
- Willingness to work assigned shifts across multiple locations
