As a Tax Specialist, you will help our clients get the full benefit of their Disability Tax Credit once it is approved. You will own your files from first review to final result, and you will explain each step to clients in plain language.
What you will do:
- Review clients’ tax history once their Disability Tax Credit is approved
- Prepare adjustment requests for eligible prior years
- Work with the CRA on our clients’ behalf
- Explain results to clients in plain language, by phone and by email
- Work with the rest of our team so each client gets every benefit they qualify for
What we are looking for:
- Experience preparing Canadian personal income tax returns
- Working knowledge of CRA adjustments and reassessments
- Clear writing and a patient manner on the phone
- Care with detail and with personal information
- A quiet place to work, a reliable internet connection, and eligibility to work in Canada
An asset:
- Experience with the Disability Tax Credit, or a CPA designation or formal tax training
