Lead community engagement, insight, and advocacy for True Patriot Love, connecting military members, Veterans, and families across Canada. Work remotely or hybrid in Toronto. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head leads a senior organisational function and significant capacity-building mandate. You will shape engagement, public affairs, government relations, policy, evidence, and impact approaches. The position connects community perspectives with strategy, operational decisions, and program design. It also represents the Foundation with partners, military leadership, policymakers, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement and advocacy activities, programs, staff, plans, and budgets
- Develop mechanisms for diverse community perspectives to inform Foundation work
- Support government relations and the CEO’s political engagement
- Represent True Patriot Love with military leadership and external partners
- Feed community and grant-making insights into decisions and advocacy
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of military and Veteran community needs
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building relationships across federal and provincial jurisdictions
- Previous experience leading, motivating, and coaching teams
- Ability to travel across Canada and possibly internationally
- Bring strategic leadership, community insight, public affairs, and advocacy expertise to True Patriot Love’s national mission.
