Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech I. As an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech I at MercyOne, you will be under the supervision of the pharmacist, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including preparation and distribution of medications to patients and patient care areas. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.

Schedule: Full-time rotating 8/hour shifts

General Requirements:

• Use medication orders to identify, locate and pull appropriate quantity of medication needed.
• Prepares medication for dispensing.
• Packages medication order for delivery.
• Delivers prescription orders to patients or patient care area under the direction of the pharmacist.
• Performs computer data entry and print functions.
• Gathers information required to prepare prescriptions and/or other pharmacy functions.
• Enters accurate and complete data into computer system.
• Verifies and maintains up-to-date information.

Education:

• Pharmacy Certified Technician required within 12 months from registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
• Registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee prior to starting employment OR as a Pharmacy Intern Registered with the State of Iowa at time of hire.
