Trillium Recycling is a diversified recycling company located in Ajax, Ontario, specializing in wood pallet recycling services. We are currently looking for a Recycling Foreman to join our team based out of Ajax, Ontario. The Recycling Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of workers who disassemble/assemble and recycle our wood products. This role involves a high level of administrative support, scheduling, coordinating, and multitasking to support management and product delivery. The successful Recycling Foreman will participate in a variety of regular management meetings with our team in support of production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of workers who disassemble/assemble, fabricate and inspect wood products for recycling.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Requisition materials and supplies.
- Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions.
- Prepare production and other reports.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an assembler or inspector in a similar industry is required.
- Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.
- Technical administrative experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite (required).
