Senior Project Manager in Edmonton

Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking three (3) Senior Project Managers to join our talented Service Delivery team within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation (Government of Alberta).

WORK MODEL: The successful contractor will be working remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. It is anticipated that this role will be 100% remote. Work must be done from within Alberta at all times due to network and data security policies. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding observed holidays.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Project Name: Artificial Intelligence Delivery and Enablement

Scope: AI Delivery & Enablement (AIDE) leads the Government of Alberta’s adoption, delivery, and responsible use of artificial intelligence to enhance productivity, improve decision-making, and support better outcomes for Albertans.

The Project Manager will review and understand departmental and corporate policies, business rules, data requirements, information management and security classification obligations, responsible AI standards, and supporting system processes. They will ensure project objectives and schedules align with GoA and branch priorities. Resources report to the AIDE Executive Director and may support several directors and sponsors at once, so they must manage shifting priorities and dependencies across projects.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Responsible for the coordination and completion of AI enablement projects across licensing and consumption, cloud platform and integration, governance and security, and training and adoption. Oversees all aspects of assigned projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress, and prepares reports for senior management on project status. Builds and maintains working relationships with branch directors, team members, vendors, ministries and other partners.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following:
• University graduation in business, management or related discipline, and four years of Project Management (PM) experience; OR
• Two-year diploma in business, management or related discipline and six years of PM experience; OR
• One year certificate in business, management or related discipline and seven years of PM experience; OR
• Eight years of PM experience.

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. (Yes or No)

Experience in developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks. (8 years+)

Experience identifying, analyzing and managing project risks on large, complex projects. (8 years+)

Experience with implementing large scale cloud-based projects and services related to AI service enablement and integration. (2 years+)

Experience with Microsoft 365 implementation projects including multiple Office 365 products and requirements. (3 years+)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience delivering generative AI or agentic AI tools in an enterprise environment (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Google Gemini Enterprise, Claude Enterprise). (1 years+)
• Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations at multiple levels of an organization. (5 years+)
• Experience implementing chargeback, cost-recovery or consumption/spend reporting for cloud or SaaS services. (2 years+)
• Experience in understanding the impact of policies, processes and procedures on performance. (4 years+)
• Experience leading large enterprise-scale projects and programs. (5 years+)
• Experience leading organizational change management and user adoption for enterprise technology rollouts, including training programs and business champion networks. (3 years+)
• Experience managing technology pilots or proofs of concept from evaluation through to production or enterprise service. (2 years+)
• Experience planning and coordinating User Acceptance Testing for enterprise technology implementations. (3 years+)
• Experience planning and managing the rollout, allocation and lifecycle of enterprise software or SaaS licences, including request and provisioning workflows (e.g., ServiceNow). (2 years+)
• Experience with applying security controls in project solutions and designs including STRA and PIA. (2 years+)
• Experience with process improvement, documentation and requirement gathering. (5 years+)
• Experience working in or for the public sector. (5 years+)
