Trane Technologies seeks a Controls Estimator II to prepare project estimates and quotes for building owners. The work covers Building Automation, HVAC Controls, HVAC Systems, construction costs, and customer proposals. You will support Account Managers bidding on energy-efficient building solutions through detailed scope development and pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate materials, subcontractors, equipment, labor, and construction activities
- Develop detailed scopes from designs, plans, and specifications
- Create sketches, exclusions, proposals, quotes, and points lists
- Perform equipment take-offs and verify configurations, quantities, and pricing
- Identify risks, savings, and vendor negotiation opportunities
Requirements:
- Three to five years’ estimating, engineering, or construction experience
- Alternatively, five to seven years’ controls field experience
- Proven Building Automation, HVAC Controls, and HVAC Systems experience
- Strong financial and business acumen with project cost awareness
- Valid driver’s license and bilingual English and French preferred
- Bring controls estimating, construction knowledge, and detailed pricing skills to Trane Technologies’ Markham HVAC projects.
