As a Registered Apprentice Technician, you will continue on-the-job learning when not attending school. You will gradually progress toward a Licensed Technician opportunity while working with the premium Caterpillar brand. The role involves mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnosis, repairs, service documentation, and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair Caterpillar and other brands of customer equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment problems
- Use Caterpillar testing equipment during diagnostic work
- Prepare accurate service reports and documentation
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound workplace behaviours
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma
- Currently enrolled in a Heavy Equipment Technician program
- Completion of a post-secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program
- Willingness to continue learning alongside experienced Technicians
- Interest in progressing toward a Licensed Technician opportunity
