As Business Development Manager, you will prospect across North American distributors and buying groups in building materials, hardware, plumbing, and PHCP. You will create scripts, cadences, targeting, and qualification processes, then build an SDR function around what works. This player-coach position reports to the Senior Director of Growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold call distributors and buying groups across Canada and the US
- Qualify prospects and book prepared meetings for Account Executives
- Write, test, and document scripts, cadences, and objection handling
- Recruit, onboard, train, and coach initial SDRs
- Track activity, connect rates, meetings, and sourced pipeline in HubSpot
Requirements:
- Three or more years of outbound B2B sales experience
- Record of meeting or exceeding activity and meetings-booked targets
- Comfort making high volumes of daily cold calls
- Experience improving scripts, cadences, targeting, or related processes
- CRM and sales engagement tools fluency with clean-data discipline
