Advanced Excel and financial reconciliation define this Cash Management Tax Intern position with TMX in Toronto, using a hybrid schedule.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cash Management, you will support tax reporting season within Cash Management and Transtar operations. The four-month co-op internship runs January 4, 2027, through April 30, 2027. Your work supports CRA tax slips and summaries for shareholder distributions paid on behalf of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile client funding letters against Transtar payment records
- Generate tax-paid reports and CSV export files
- Validate client tax characteristics and CRA account numbers
- Review, create, and import TaxPrep files
- Generate accurate CRA tax slips and summaries
Requirements:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with complex formulas
- Strong numerical reasoning and reconciliation ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous approach to high-volume deadline-driven work
- Related co-op, internship, or corporate tax experience preferred
