Field Service Technician in Limoges

Toromont Material Handling is looking for a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity. This position is to work near/out of Kingston.

Pay Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $42.65 to $49.02. The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to get the job done right and on time.
• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of equipment: Electric forklifts (batteries, motors, controllers, electronics), Internal combustion units (propane, gas, diesel engines), Hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Use OEM diagnostic software and advanced tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service in the field and shop.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leveraging top tier technical skills.
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field.
• Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on site visits.

Must-haves for this role:

• Licensed Technician or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (24V–80V).
• Solid understanding of internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment is considered a strong asset.
• Bilingualism, English and French, is considered an asset.
