This English-language driving position involves dump trucks and tractor-trailers carrying steel, iron, and heavy metals. Duties include navigation, customer service, dispatch communication, maintenance, documentation, loading, unloading, and cargo security. The work requires extended and overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan routes using GPS and navigation equipment
- Inspect vehicles, tires, lights, brakes, and equipment
- Load, unload, tarp, and secure cargo
- Record hours, distance, fuel consumption, and cargo details
- Perform maintenance, brake adjustments, and roadside repairs
Requirements:
- Valid AZ class licence with Air Brake endorsement
- Secondary school graduation certificate
- Experience considered an asset
- Willingness to travel overnight and extended periods
- Ability to handle up to 45 kilograms
