Build Java cloud services with strong DevOps expertise at Thomson Reuters in Toronto, using AWS, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL within a hybrid model. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud-native services. You will own solutions across delivery and production operations while improving reliability, deployment velocity, and developer experience. The work includes backend applications, REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and PostgreSQL
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, testing, and deployment automation
- Automate secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and production operations
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Security teams
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience
- Strong experience operating applications and infrastructure on AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS
