JOB DESCRIPTION
Pipefitters play an essential role in the construction, maintenance and repair of industrial piping systems in Quebec.
This professional is responsible for reading blueprints, cutting, assembling and installing pipes, as well as maintaining industrial plumbing systems.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret technical drawings to determine pipe location and configuration.
Prepare materials by cutting, bending and assembling pipes according to specifications.
Install and connect pipes in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform pressure tests to ensure tightness of installations.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on piping systems.
Work in collaboration with other trades on construction sites.
Comply with safety standards, building codes and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a CCQ Competence Card.
Gas piping installation certificate (ITG).
Professional training in industrial piping or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in welding, bending and pipe assembly techniques.
Knowledge of safety standards and construction regulations.
Ability to work as part of a team on a variety of construction sites.
Ability to solve technical problems related to piping.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently. ** Salary according to CCQ salary scale.
