Job Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice offering a varied clinical caseload and excellent opportunities for professional development.

With a longstanding reputation for delivering exceptional veterinary care since 1972, this opportunity welcomes both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates looking to develop their skills within a supportive clinical environment.

The position offers the chance to work alongside experienced veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians and highly trained support professionals who value collaboration, compassionate medicine and continuous learning.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care for dogs, cats and occasional exotic species, with opportunities to develop particular interests in dentistry, preventative healthcare and exotic animal medicine.

Modern clinical facilities include digital radiography and dedicated dental equipment, supporting effective diagnostic investigations and treatment planning.

Mentorship from an experienced veterinarian with expertise in integrative therapeutic nutrition and exotic animal medicine provides valuable opportunities for practical learning, while flexible scheduling arrangements encourage a healthy balance between professional and personal commitments.

Qualifications Needed

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification with eligibility to practise in New Brunswick.
  • Strong interest in companion animal medicine, preventative healthcare and delivering personalised patient treatment.
  • Enthusiasm for developing dental or exotic animal medicine skills, although previous specialist experience is not essential.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working with veterinary colleagues and pet owners.
  • Commitment to continued professional development, adaptability and maintaining high standards of compassionate veterinary care.

Package

  • Flexible working schedules offering a choice of four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with only one Saturday in four required.
  • Dedicated clinical mentorship from an experienced veterinarian with additional expertise in therapeutic nutrition and exotic animal medicine.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits supporting personal medical requirements and employee wellbeing.
  • Opportunity to develop clinical interests in veterinary dentistry, exotic species and advanced preventative healthcare.
  • Generous continuing education funding and access to ongoing professional learning opportunities.
  • Paid annual leave provisions encouraging a sustainable balance between clinical responsibilities and personal commitments.
  • Professional veterinary licensing fees and relevant membership subscriptions covered.
  • Complimentary access to veterinary information resources supporting clinical research and evidence-based treatment.
  • Generous veterinary care benefits for personal pets alongside additional employee support arrangements.
  • Collaborative AAHA-accredited clinical environment with experienced veterinary technicians and opportunities for performance-related bonus earnings.
