This Conference Services Manager position requires previous conference services, event management, catering sales, or group coordination experience. You will independently manage multiple groups and events, serving as the primary planning contact after Sales contracts events. Success depends on communication, organization, operational knowledge, and detailed coordination across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage planning for conferences, meetings, weddings, groups, and special events
- Coordinate rooming lists, guestroom blocks, catering, audiovisual needs, and transportation
- Prepare BEOs, Group Resumes, VIP reports, and event documentation
- Lead planning calls, site inspections, and pre-conference meetings
- Coordinate hotel departments for seamless event delivery
Requirements:
- Previous conference services or event management experience
- Direct group coordination and event planning experience
- Excellent communication and strong operational knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Valid authorization to work in Canada required
