The Asset Protection Specialist drives execution of theft and fraud strategies while addressing internal and external investigations. This position partners with store management, Asset Protection leaders, and associates to build shrink awareness and support business objectives. Responsibilities include apprehension procedures, evidence preservation, court representation, safety validation, and physical security checks. The specialist also uses financial indicators and metrics to measure performance and supports the Asset Protection Team Plan. Integrity, confidentiality, timely decisions, and clear communication are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate investigation and physical security concerns with Asset Protection leaders
- Partner with management to address Asset Protection issues
- Create associate awareness of shrink and operational deficiencies
- Represent The Home Depot during court-related procedures
- Test building alarm systems and check facility security
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more years' retail Loss Prevention experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with confidentiality and responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel between stores
