Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited is seeking a Climbing Arborist for full-time, year-round field work. You will work in tree canopies at varying heights while applying tree care knowledge, safe climbing practices, and equipment operation. The position supports complete tree and vegetation management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prune, thin, and remove deadwood from tree canopies
- Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
- Maintain, prepare, and operate arborist tools and equipment
- Assist with site setup, debris removal, and cleanup
- Follow Davey and industry safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of climbing experience
- Understand safe tree canopy ascent at all heights
- Hold certification or willingness to work toward certification
- Identify trees, knots, and shrubs accurately
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
