Support Davey Tree crews as a Tree Worker Apprentice, supplying tools, handling brush, and maintaining safe worksites on site in Ontario.
Based in Whitchurch-Stouffville, this full-time, year-round apprenticeship provides exposure to the Arborist role.
You will assist crew members, support work above ground, and keep equipment and jobsites maintained.
The position offers ongoing training and supports progress toward becoming a Certified Arborist.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist crew members with assigned tree work
- Supply tools for workers aloft
- Control lowering ropes during operations
- Cut, chip, and load brush and wood
- Complete proper jobsite cleanup
Requirements
- Valid provincial driver's license
- 5-ton licensing and air brake endorsement considered assets
- Arboriculture or horticulture experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and progress safely
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
