Lead aquatic safety and swimming instruction as a full-time Lifeguard Swim Instructor at Town of Ajax facilities across varied shifts.
Reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor, you will supervise swimming activities and deliver learn to swim programs. The role supports participants of all ages and abilities, volunteers, and public aquatic safety. You will follow Town of Ajax and Lifesaving Society standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor aquatic facility safety and address emerging concerns
- Enforce pool rules and educate the public
- Respond to emergencies and administer coordinated First Aid
- Instruct swimming lessons and leadership classes
- Prepare weekly lesson outlines and core plans
Requirements:
- Grade 12 High School Diploma required
- Minimum two years' Lifeguard Swim Instructor experience
- Current Standard or Intermediate First Aid/CPR C
- Current LSS National Lifeguard and instructor awards
- High Five certification within six months of hire
Use aquatic supervision, instruction, emergency response, and planning skills to serve Town of Ajax program participants.
