The Burger's Priest is hiring an Assistant General Manager at our downtown Toronto location! Want to work at a place that's as serious about burgers as it is about creating a positive workspace? Thought so. We dress burgers. Not you. We never cared much for work uniforms and we're guessing you might feel the same. We want you to work in an environment where you're free to be yourself, we wouldn't have it any other way.
What you will do in this role:
- Train and coach the team below you to provide "ABSOLUTE" service
- Set clear expectations and follow up with your team on a regular basis
- Take direction and feedback from the Senior Management team
- Open and close the restaurant independently (key holder)
- Reconcile cash deposits
- Place orders and perform inventory counts
- Address customer concerns ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied
- Able to attract, interview and hire employees and build a strong team
- Understand food costing
- Can accurately schedule employees while achieving labour targets
What we are looking for from you:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience leading a team
- Friendly and enthusiastic about everything you do
- Passionate about food and providing only the best guest experiences
- Food Handler Certified or willing to certify
- Available for mixed shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Works well in a team setting but can complete tasks independently as needed
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
