This hands-on leadership position oversees the pre-owned department across inventory, profitability, team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will manage sourcing, aging, reconditioning coordination, merchandising, compliance, and reporting. The role requires strong automotive management experience, analytical judgment, and sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Appraise trade-ins and make retail, wholesale, or auction decisions
- Source inventory through OpenLane, EBlock, auctions, and private purchases
- Maintain inventory supply while monitoring 30-, 60-, and 90-day aging
- Coordinate service and detail turnaround within one to three days
- Report inventory, sales, profitability, and departmental KPIs to executives
Requirements:
- Three to five years of automotive management experience
- Knowledge of appraisal, wholesale purchasing, pricing, and inventory management
- Experience with OpenLane, EBlock, and market pricing tools
- Leadership experience developing and motivating sales teams
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
