We're growing our shop team and looking for a hands‐on technician who takes pride in doing the job right.
About the role
As a Refurbish & Repair Technician, you'll evaluate, diagnose, and restore commercial kitchen equipment sold by Elevate – TFI, including frozen beverage machines, grills, fryers, and ice cream units. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you'll own your work bay, document what each unit needs, and complete the repairs so refurbished equipment operates as close as possible to a brand‐new unit.
What You'll Do
Evaluate incoming commercial kitchen equipment to assess condition and identify required repairs
Write clear, detailed work orders describing the work needed to refurbish each unit
Complete refurbishment and repair work to a standard where equipment performs as close as possible to new
Test and verify each unit's operation before it's marked complete
Keep your work bay clean and always organized
Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Source or request the correct parts and components needed for each job
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical faults
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
Ability to keep the work area always organized
Commitment to performing all duties safely, in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
