Job ID: 90946

Location: Prince Edward Island, Canada

What you will be doing

  • Lead and schedule the QA team, and coach people to a consistent standard.
  • Act as the main contact between the client and the technology team, and triage issues by priority and urgency.
  • Create and maintain QA policies, standards, and procedures, and make sure the team follows them.
  • Review design specifications and turn them into test plans, test data, and scripts.
  • Build automated tests for system testing, end-to-end, and regression, and keep a solid set of manual tests where automation is not the right fit.
  • Run testing in Azure DevOps Test Plans, and report on QA velocity, defects, and triage.
  • Support the business through user acceptance testing, including scripts and training material.
  • Test web APIs (REST and/or SOAP) and check results for accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
  • Work with the product manager, architects, developers, business analysts, other QA analysts, and UX.

What you must have

  • At least five years in QA, including time as a lead.
  • A track record of writing QA best practices, policies, and procedures and getting a team to use them.
  • Strong automated testing with Playwright in C# / .NET Core and NUnit, running in Azure Pipelines.
  • Solid manual testing: test data, result checks, reproducing errors, and scripts written from a specification.
  • Experience across the testing lifecycle, including judging how serious an issue is so it can be prioritized.
  • Azure DevOps Test Plans, used to manage plans, cases, runs, and defects.
  • Reporting and dashboards for QA velocity and defect triage.
  • Working knowledge of REST and/or SOAP, and of JSON and/or XML.
  • Clear communication with developers, project managers, and the business.
