Our client is implementing Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to replace a heavily customized Dynamics AX 2012 environment and standardize finance and operations. The value of that system depends on it reflecting how the business actually runs. Current program phases need order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and customer management documented in a form the ERP, CRM, and related platforms can share, so configuration supports the work users do rather than a generic system design. This contract covers that process definition. The analyst works with senior product and process owners, turns operating practice into a system‑agnostic definition, and places it where the technical team can build from it. Clear process definition is what makes the system usable, supports adoption, and lets the organization get the intended value from the platform.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with senior product and process owners across finance, operations, sales, and service. Direct the conversation and translate operating practice into a process the program can align to.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes so the same definition can be used by ERP, CRM, and downstream platforms. In scope are order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and customer management / Customer 360, including finance processes that extend into operations.
  • Produce system‑agnostic artifacts, including swim‑lane models that are not tied to a system.
  • Elicit requirements and structure them in Azure DevOps for the technical team to consume.
  • Facilitate working sessions, and record decisions and open items.
  • Support the current ERP program phases through the term.

Deliverables:

  • Current-state and future-state process documentation for finance, operations, sales, and service, written so ERP, CRM, and downstream platforms can use the same definition.
  • System‑agnostic process models for order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and customer management.
  • Requirements structured in Azure DevOps.
  • Facilitated workshops with decisions and open items recorded.
  • Process support to the ERP program through the contract term.

What you must have:

  • 8 or more years as a business analyst.
  • Two or more Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations implementations, with process work on order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, or customer management. Exposure within the last 3 to 5 years.
  • At least two engagements where they owned process design with senior business owners, rather than requirements taken from an existing specification.
  • At least one of those engagements landed in a backlog tool such as Azure DevOps or Jira. Familiarity with Azure DevOps is required.
  • Able to facilitate senior stakeholders and run the working session.
  • System‑agnostic process modelling, including swim-lanes.
  • Finance and operations literacy that extends into customer management.

Preferred:

  • Customer 360 or CRM process work, and experience across more than one platform.
