About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee a new mid-rise residential construction project in Belleville, Ontario. The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all day-to-day site construction activities.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure construction progresses according to the project schedule and milestones.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation and coordinate with the Project Manager and consultants.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Identify and resolve site issues, conflicts, and construction deficiencies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate required inspections.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Track site progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior management.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are available when required.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, schedules, deficiencies, and site communications.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential mid-rise construction.
- Proven experience overseeing new-build residential projects from start to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experience with construction management software is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Belleville, Ontario.
