Job Description:
TD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients. The Global Markets, Residential Mortgage Trading team acquires insured and conventional uninsured residential and multi-family mortgages from non-bank lenders and transforms them into mortgage-backed securities (MBS). The desk manages the full transaction lifecycle, including sourcing and pricing mortgages through hedging, funding, pooling and securitization.
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world-class training, and be part of a community of students across TD.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with mortgage acquisition, funding, pooling and securitization activities.
- Contribute to hedging and risk-management analysis.
- Analyze mortgage, lender and portfolio data to identify trends.
- Build or improve tools, models and recurring processes using Excel and Python.
- Conduct research on the Canadian mortgage market and related regulations.
- Prepare concise internal materials and support team interactions.
- Take ownership of a defined project that improves a process or business outcome.
