Job Description

About This Role

TD's Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM) team is looking for a Vulnerability Data & Reporting Specialist to serve as a trusted analytics and reporting partner within the Vulnerability Management Governance team. This role will convert high-volume vulnerability and remediation data into clear, defensible insights that help senior leaders understand risk exposure, remediation performance, emerging trends, and areas requiring action.

The successful candidate will own and enhance executive risk reporting, including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and operational performance reporting, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide key insights into the underlying data. The role requires strong analytical judgment, vulnerability management knowledge, executive communication skills, and the technical capability to retrieve, validate, transform, and analyze data from ServiceNow Security Operations and other vulnerability data sources.

Here’s some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Analysis of executive vulnerability risk reporting and operational performance reporting outputs, scorecards, dashboards, and governance materials.
  • Analyze vulnerability inventories across infrastructure, application, container, API, and AI assets for aging, severity, exploitability, asset criticality, exposure, remediation type, SLA performance, exceptions, reopen rates, recurrence, and other factors to identify material trends and control gaps.
  • Translate complex data into concise executive commentary that explains what changed, why it changed, the associated risk, what’s preventing remediation, and the executive action or decision required.
  • Perform trend, root-cause, cohort, variance, and segmentation analysis across infrastructure, applications, cloud, containers, APIs, and other relevant technology environments.
  • Identify emerging remediation risks, reporting anomalies, performance deterioration, and data-quality issues before they affect executive or regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and maintain metric definitions, calculation logic, thresholds, business rules, data lineage, reconciliation controls, and supporting documentation so reporting is consistent, repeatable, and audit-ready.
  • Validate the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of vulnerability data across source systems, ServiceNow records, extracts, reports, and dashboards; investigate and resolve discrepancies with data and platform owners.
  • Use ServiceNow Security Operations, particularly Vulnerability Response, related CMDB and remediation data, and platform reporting capabilities to develop and validate vulnerability insights.
  • Extract and transform large data sets using approved methods such as REST APIs, scheduled exports, SQL or query tools, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent technologies when analysis cannot be performed efficiently within the source platform.
  • Build and enhance analytical products using tools such as Power BI, Excel, ServiceNow Performance Analytics, or equivalent enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Partner with vulnerability and patch management, application security, engineering teams, technology owners, risk partners, and data teams to interpret results and drive accountable remediation actions.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis for senior management, risk committees, audit, and regulatory stakeholders, ensuring conclusions are evidence-based and appropriately qualified.
  • Assess proposed metric or reporting changes for unintended impacts, including changes to source coverage, data quality, historical comparability, thresholds, and management interpretation.
  • Automate recurring data preparation, reconciliation, and quality checks to improve reporting reliability, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of vulnerability governance, reporting standards, data controls, and analytical methods.
  • Provide data analysis and reporting support to respond to internal audit, regulatory, or risk partner requests in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent practical experience in information security, computer science, data analytics, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in information security, vulnerability management, cyber risk reporting, security data analytics, business intelligence, or a comparable technical risk function.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management concepts, including discovery, prioritization, remediation, exceptions, aging, service levels, asset criticality, exploitability, exposure, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing large, complex data sets and converting results into actionable findings, management commentary, and defensible conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow Security Operations and Vulnerability Response, including vulnerable items, remediation tasks or groups, integrations, CMDB relationships, workflows, and reporting data.
  • Advanced proficiency with analytical and visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel, including data modeling, trend analysis, reconciliation, and dashboard design.
  • Ability to retrieve and manipulate data using one or more technical methods such as REST APIs, SQL, Python, PowerShell, ServiceNow queries, or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to identify data-quality issues, document calculation logic and lineage, reconcile results across systems, and maintain appropriate evidence and controls.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to explain complex technical and quantitative information in clear executive language.
  • Experience developing and governing KRIs, KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, or other risk and performance reporting for senior leadership is a plus.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to challenge results constructively when the data does not support the expected conclusion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage recurring reporting commitments and ad-hoc executive requests in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and control discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large, regulated financial institution or similarly complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, ServiceNow reporting, CMDB data, data exports, Integration Hub, or ServiceNow REST APIs.
  • Experience with vulnerability data from tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Snyk, Veracode, Wiz, or equivalent infrastructure, application, cloud, container, and API security platforms.
  • Experience with data transformation and automation technologies such as Power Query, DAX, SQL, Python libraries, ETL pipelines, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Understanding of data governance, metric governance, model validation, audit evidence, and reporting controls.
  • Information security or platform certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ServiceNow CSA, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Vulnerability Response, or a relevant data analytics certification.

Success in This Role

  • Executives receive timely, accurate, concise reporting that clearly identifies material changes, risk implications, and required actions.
  • KRI and KPI results are traceable to documented definitions, governed data sources, repeatable calculations, and effective quality controls.
  • Vulnerability trends and remediation gaps are identified early enough to support management intervention rather than merely describing past performance.
  • Reporting discrepancies are investigated to root cause, transparently explained, and resolved through sustainable process or data improvements.
  • Manual reporting effort is reduced through practical automation without weakening validation, governance, or accountability.
