We are seeking an experienced Harvesting Supervisor for a company in Dawson Creek, BC. You will provide all necessary support and expertise in harvest supervision and construction to meet the company's facility requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise harvesting, road construction, road maintenance and deactivation activities.
- Participate in timber reconnaissance, layout, grass seeding, post-harvest assessments, and hazard abatement.
- Document and data management.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and applicable government regulations.
- May coordinate special projects as needed.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Forest Technician Diploma.
- 3 years forestry experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- In-depth knowledge of forestry procedures and harvesting systems.
- In-depth knowledge of road construction and road maintenance activities/techniques including deactivation.
- Knowledge of applicable government regulations.
