Your role will be crucial in assisting healthcare professionals while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Use proper body mechanics during patient transfers
- Collaborate with inter-professional team
- Follow care plans and provide safe interactions
- Document patient/client activities as needed
Requirements:
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Personal Support Worker Diploma/Certificate
- Preferred registration with the Registry of Personal Support Workers
- One year of experience in patient care support
- Experience with geriatric and palliative populations
