Lead railway systems assurance for SYSTRA Canada’s GO Expansion program, applying senior engineering governance and independent technical verification on-site. This senior manager role supports Delivery Partners for Metrolinx across the GO and UP transit networks and associated corridors. You will own integrated Engineering Safety and Assurance Cases, evaluate multidisciplinary evidence, and coordinate assurance activities with Systems Engineering, System Integration, testing, commissioning, and operations. The work ensures rail systems are safe, compliant, reliable, maintainable, operable, and ready for handover. Key Responsibilities:
Provide independent technical governance across GO and UP transit networks Develop and maintain integrated Engineering Safety and Assurance Cases Present assurance cases to the System Review Panel Evaluate verification, validation, testing, and commissioning evidence Manage hazards, compliance issues, evidence gaps, and readiness risks Requirements:
Engineering degree or related heavy rail technical discipline At least 10 years’ railway assurance or systems engineering experience Experience evaluating evidence and compiling integrated safety cases Knowledge of Transport Canada, CROR, FRA, APTA, and Metrolinx governance EN 50126, EN 50128, or EN 50129 competency highly desirable Apply railway assurance, safety cases, and technical governance expertise to support Metrolinx acceptance and handover.
