Senior Operations & Production Manager - Landscaping Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Senior Operations & Production Manager to oversee field operations, manage project execution, and drive operational efficiency within a landscaping organization.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive landscaping industry experience, strong production and project management skills, and a proven ability to lead teams while improving productivity and profitability.
This senior leadership position combines strategic planning, operational oversight, project management, and active field involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production, field operations, and multiple landscaping projects to ensure efficient execution.
Lead, mentor, and support project managers, supervisors, foremen, and field crews.
Coordinate scheduling, labour, equipment, and resources to maximize productivity.
Monitor project budgets, job costing, labour efficiency, and overall profitability.
Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
Utilize technology, reporting tools, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track results and support decision-making.
Maintain a strong field presence to ensure quality standards, productivity, safety, and accountability.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and achieve operational objectives.
Establish and maintain effective systems for planning, reporting, and performance management.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience in the landscaping industry is mandatory.
Proven experience in production management, project management, and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of landscape construction, landscaping maintenance, and field operations.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, job costing, labour productivity, and project scheduling.
Technologically proficient, with experience using landscaping management software; Aspire experience is an asset.
Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with regular hands‑on field involvement.
Valid driver's licence.
