ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
- -Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an Ontario College Certificate Program or an Accredited Program with PSWEPA.
- -Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certified.
- -Gentle Persuasion Approach Training
- -Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario CPR (C) certification
- -2 years previous hospital PSW experience preferred
- -Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health Disorders.
- -Knowledge and skill to maintain supplies and equipment.
- -Ability to complete the required environmental cleaning.
- -Excellent communication/time management/priority setting skills.
- -Demonstrated knowledge of asepsis principles.
- -Excellent computer skills (Intranet, Microsoft Office, Care Manager)
- -Satisfactory attendance.
