SALARY RANGE: $37.24 - $38.19

As part of the candidate assessment process, applicants may be required to complete a written and oral examination and provide a record of educational activities (including e-learning report) over the last 2 years during interview.
- Current Certification of Competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- RPN Diploma preferred.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Recognized OR course from a Community College or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years current OR experience (within the past 3 years).
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical experience (within the past 3 years).
- Knowledge of the principles of asepsis.
- Computer Skills - Intranet, Microsoft Office, Care Manager, STAR, Solcom, Risk Monitor Pro.
- Practice level consistent with the full scope of practice as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario, which includes but is not limited to:
- Evidence of the successful administration and management of blood & blood products.
- Evidence of the successful completion and/or practice in processing physician orders, administration of oral, subcutaneous, IM, suppository, aerosol and IV medications, venipuncture and IV initiation and management.
- Demonstrated adherence to the expectations of nursing practice at CKHA.
- Member of RPNAO preferred.
- Satisfactory Attendance.
