Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: 10 + Hours per day (day shift), 10 on 4 off, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop; providing our technicians with a sense of ownership. Sureway Shop is under New Management - Effective September 1, 2026.
Requirements:
- Full Complement of Hand Tools
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6" ankle support
- Valid Driver's License (non GDL)
- Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
- Fitness to Work Assessment
Heavy Equipment Technician – Field Qualifications:
- Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal - Off Road or equivalent
- Must have between (5) and (10) years' Journeyperson experience
- 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices will be considered for this position
- Off Road experience is REQUIRED
- Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED
- Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
- Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
- Class 5 or 3 License with Q endorsement
- Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
Heavy Equipment Technician - Field Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
- Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
