Food safety expertise leads this Quality Assurance Specialist role at Sunrise Farms, supporting production quality and regulatory compliance. Monday to Friday, starting at 12:30pm.
This specialist supports the Quality and Plant teams across poultry production. The work includes HACCP, GFSI standards, microbiology testing, statistical process controls, and food safety programs. You will assist with audits, product specifications, complaint investigations, and technical oversight supporting customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and execute policies, SOPs, and work instructions
- Coordinate microbiology sampling, testing, training, and follow-up
- Maintain product specifications, labels, nutritional information, and approvals
- Perform facility inspections, self-audits, and audit preparation
- Update HACCP SOPs, forms, trackers, and reporting data
Requirements:
- Two to three years of similar experience
- Related vocational certification, licensure, degree, or diploma
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GFSI, and Safe Food regulations
- Understanding of GMP requirements for food manufacturing
- Leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills
