As Director, Group Retirement Services Tax, you will manage tax production, risk, and compliance within financial services. You will interpret tax legislation, oversee reporting processes, and collaborate with Corporate Tax, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Finance. The position includes leadership of three direct reports and third-party risk management. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee more than 1.6 million annual tax slips Ensure FATCA, CRS, QI, and IRS filings meet deadlines Participate in CRA audits and external QI reviews Maintain tax controls, policies, procedures, and systems Lead GRS tax team members and provide guidance Requirements:
Designated CPA with taxation expertise Completed, enrolled, or willing to enroll in CPA In-Depth Taxation Five to ten years of financial services or public accounting experience Experience with FATCA, CRS, QI legislation, and compliance Strong leadership, organization, communication, and collaboration skills Bring financial services tax leadership, regulatory knowledge, and process discipline to Sun Life’s Group Retirement Services business.
