You will assess eligibility, classify risk, and communicate well-founded decisions while using quantitative and qualitative data. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical, personal, and financial application information
- Assess and classify risk using underwriting guidelines
- Make decisions within authority and submit exceeding files
- Collaborate with reinsurers on complex or adverse decisions
- Document clear rationales and identify improvement opportunities
Requirements:
- At least three years individual life underwriting experience
- Existing signing authority for life and critical illness insurance
- Analytical, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of medicine and risk factors
- ALU certificate or commitment to obtain it
