As a Tax Analyst, you will perform payment, reporting, accounting, and compliance activities for Sun Life, Canadian subsidiaries, and investment funds. Reporting to the AVP, Indirect Tax, you will support returns, reconciliations, accruals, audits, and process improvements. The work includes GST/HST, QST, provincial sales tax, and premium tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare GST/HST, QST, and provincial sales tax returns
- Process withholding tax payments and premium tax accruals
- Reconcile tax accounts and investigate variances
- Support indirect tax audits with documentation and schedules
- Standardize recurring processes using Excel, SAP, and available tools
Requirements:
- Two to three years in accounting, reporting, or tax compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Required SAP experience and hands-on reporting systems experience
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP
- Analytical, organized, independent, and clear in stakeholder communication
