Lead complex acquisitions and strategic investments at Sun Life in Toronto, using M&A valuation expertise and hands-on transaction leadership. As Assistant Vice President, Corporate Development, you will guide growth strategies across Sun Life’s international businesses. You will advise on strategic fit, valuation, deal structuring, and transaction risks while leading teams through complex opportunities. The team supports acquisitions, sales, equity investments, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex transactions from strategic assessment through negotiation and execution
- Evaluate acquisition targets, strategic fit, assumptions, and recommendations
- Develop and review financial models and business valuations
- Lead due diligence, risk assessment, and transaction structuring
- Prepare Executive Team and Board presentations and materials
Requirements:
- 10-15 years’ relevant investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience
- Undergraduate finance or commerce degree
- Advanced M&A valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring knowledge
- Financial services transactional experience preferred
- Toronto One York presence at least three days weekly
- Bring transaction judgment, financial analysis, and people leadership to Sun Life’s Toronto Corporate Development team.
