Take pride in the care you provide. Build relationships with patients. Develop your nursing career with us.

Debenham Practice is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly team, working across Debenham, Otley and Grundisburgh.

We take pride in delivering high-quality care and strive to make every patients journey a positive one, from their first contact through to treatment and ongoing support.

As part of Suffolk Primary Care, we offer a supportive environment where teamwork, staff wellbeing and professional development matter. Youll have the opportunity to use your existing skills, contribute your ideas and develop through training for new duties.

Youll need current NMC registration and a caring, patient-focused approach. Experience in primary care, a nurse prescribing qualification and knowledge of SystmOne are desirable.

We welcome informal visits so you can meet the team and discover what working with us could look like.

Main duties of the job

  • Youll deliver personalised nursing care, working independently within your competence and alongside our wider clinical team.
  • Depending on your skills and experience, your work will include immunisations, cervical screening, contraception, treatment room care and health assessments. Youll also support patients to manage long-term conditions, including diabetes, asthma and COPD, with spirometry where appropriately trained.
  • Experience with long-acting reversible contraception, including coils and implants, would be welcomed.
  • Beyond clinical appointments, youll help patients understand their health, make informed decisions and feel supported throughout their care. Youll contribute to safe, coordinated services through clear communication, accurate records and a willingness to improve how we work.
  • We use SystmOne and askmyGP to support our clinical services. Training will be provided for new duties to help you develop your skills.
  • The role is around 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.
