Corporate Audit is looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) to lead and execute complex audits and validation work across Global Treasury. The role will primarily cover liquidity risk, interest rate risk in the banking book, investment portfolio, governance, and related regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will combine strong audit execution and leadership skills with practical knowledge of Treasury risk management. The individual will lead assigned audit teams through planning, testing, issue development, and reporting. They will also review work for quality and evidentiary support and communicate conclusions to senior management.
The audit team plays an important role in the overall success of the organization. Across the globe, the firm relies on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability; regulators rely upon us to provide assurance that the bank operates in a manner that is compliant with key banking regulations to properly manage risks to the company and the global financial systems.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Lead complex audits across Global Treasury, from planning, through testing, issue development, and final reporting.
- Direct audit teams assigned to individual engagements, establish clear expectations, monitor delivery, review workpapers, and coach team members throughout the engagement.
- Plan and perform controls testing, including walkthroughs, sample selection, inspection of evidence, reperformance and evaluation of operating effectiveness.
- Evaluate Treasury processes against applicable regulatory requirements, supervisory guidance, internal policies, and established risk limits.
- Apply professional skepticism to assess the quality, completeness and reliability of evidence, and challenge unsupported or inconsistent explanations.
- Use data analytics to support testing, identify anomalies and enable continuous monitoring where appropriate.
- Communicate testing status, emerging concerns, scope changes and delivery risks promptly to audit management, together with fact-based analysis and proposed solutions.
- Build constructive relationships across the lines of defense while maintaining audit independence and objectivity.
- Maintain current knowledge of Global Treasury risks, regulatory expectations and industry practices, particularly in liquidity risk, asset-liability management and interest rate risk.
What We Value
- Practical knowledge of Treasury risk management, with experience in liquidity risk, interest rate risk in the banking book, asset and liability management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and professional judgment, including the ability to identify the risks that matter and develop well-supported conclusions.

- Clear, factual and concise written and verbal communication, including communication with senior management and regulators.
- Ability to research, interpret and apply regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations relevant to Treasury and liquidity requirements and supervisory guidance.
- Collaborative approach and ability to provide clear direction and review feedback to audit team members.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, Global Treasury, public accounting, or another first- or second-line risk management role.
