Senior engineer for enterprise platform work — Node, Postgres, React, AWS. Full-time, in-person at our Concord, ON studio.
You will own client builds end-to-end — from architecture through deployment — alongside two other senior engineers and a project manager. Expect to lead one client at a time with full scope: schema, API, frontend, infra, and the conversations with the customer about what is realistic and when. We work in two-week sprints with weekly customer demos. The role reports to the founder.
No. 01 Responsibilities
- 01 Own architecture, build, and deployment of one client engagement at a time
- 02 Lead two-week sprints; demo to the customer weekly
- 03 Make scope and priority calls in conversation with the customer — no relay through PMs
- 04 Pair with the project manager to keep deliverables and dates honest
- 05 Mentor one junior engineer (rotating), if and when we hire one
No. 02 Qualifications
- 01 7+ years building production web applications end-to-end
- 02 Strong with TypeScript, Node, Postgres, and one modern React-based framework (Next.js preferred)
- 03 Comfortable owning AWS (ECS / Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront) without an SRE backstop
- 04 Track record of shipping software that customers depend on — not side projects
- 05 Direct, written communicator. We work asynchronously by default during deep-work windows.
