Position Summary
The Lead Cook oversees kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, efficiency, and cleanliness while managing inventory and waste control.
Duties and Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Manage food and beverage inventory and seek ways to improve processes.
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prep, set up workstations, and cook breakfast and lunch dishes using various utensils and equipment.
Quality & Safety
- Maintain cleaning schedules, ensure proper food storage, and track food waste.
Sanitation & Organization
- Ensure the kitchen meets cleanliness standards and operates smoothly.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of culinary procedures and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome immediate issues.
- Knowledge needed for organizing and planning staff, inventory and costs.
Working Conditions
- 7am-3pm operation hours.
- Weekends, as needed.
- Ability to stand for long period of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
