This Registered Nurse establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. The position serves varied patient populations in a changing environment. Acute medical nursing knowledge, independent practice, and medication administration are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Assess patient health needs using specialized nursing knowledge
- Plan and implement individualized patient care
- Evaluate care outcomes and adapt responses
- Administer medications, including intravenous medications, with physician orders
Requirements:
- Current good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BSc in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Acute medical nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
- Basic Outlook, Cerner, and Electronic Patient Record skills
