Support young learners in French and English as a Daycare Educator at St-Laurent Academy in Ottawa or the immediate area. Full-time, part-time, and supply schedules are available.
Working within infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, you will engage children through lessons and activities while ensuring their safety. This position involves daily routines, parent communication, planning with educators and school staff, and supervised field trips. The role supports children's social, emotional, behavioural, and developing academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage daycare students through lessons and classroom activities
- Maintain safety across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms
- Prepare snacks and lunches with the school kitchen
- Supervise toileting, sanitation, recess, play, naps, and transitions
- Communicate with families, educators, supervisors, nurses, and school staff
Requirements:
- Qualified Early Childhood Educator, Educational Assistant, or equivalent experience
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector screening
- Clear TB test and early childhood program experience
- Bilingual French and English; available weekdays for eight-hour days
