Coordinate Diagnostic Services administration at Charlton Campus in Hamilton Downtown using Dovetale (EPIC) and medical terminology. The regular part-time schedule includes varied days and shifts.
This St. Joseph's Health System position provides the first contact for Diagnostic Imaging patients. You will process registrations, orders, requisitions, and sensitive records while communicating with patients, physicians, and health care providers. Accuracy, kindness, and organization support effective service through multiple demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and proofread requisitions for complete clinical information
- Rename faxed requisitions into appropriate modality folders
- Place urgent ultrasound orders on appointment grids
- Correct registration errors in Dovetale work queues
- Participate in new staff orientation and training
Requirements:
- Medical Terminology Certificate and radiology terminology knowledge
- Minimum one-year hospital administrative support experience
- Basic keyboarding speed of 35 words per minute
- Effective, tactful in-person and telephone communication
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
